Wonderful place to stay. Our extended family stayed and appreciated the 6 bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a ping pong tournament in the game room in the basement.
This is a converted farmhouse outside of town but next to a major road to the Interstate. This is the second time we have stayed here during a family gathering at a nearby location. We only slept here because of all-day activities with family. However, there is a kitchen with a refrigerator. The town is a couple of minutes away if more is needed. All of the rooms have their own personality. There is a full bathroom off of each bedroom. There is some nostalgia, growing up on a farm in South Dakota. The place is well kept. The remote location would be great for a family celebration or something similar.
My family of five stayed one night at this beautiful B&B. It is in a very rural/farm setting near Hampton, IA (about 4 miles E off I-35) and the pleasantly pastoral setting gives you a wonderfully relaxing rest. The night we stayed, we were the only non-long term people there. Of the other three people, two were staying all summer and the third was staying for two months for work. The owners bend over backwards to ensure your stay is pleasant and the breakfast is wonderful. Adjacent to the house in an old garage is "The Giggling Goat" gift shop which is beautifully decorated using antique farm equipment and has a wonderful array of local and in-state made products such as flavored popcorn, cookie dough mix, candles, clothing, and other goods. I can't give the Country Heritage Bed & Breakfast a higher recomendation - a 5-star establishment and a definite gem in North Central Iowa!
My son and daughter in law were married here and it was fabulous!!! Everything was absolutely beautiful! The owners were very gracious and helpful. I didn't get to stay overnight so I haven't seen the rooms but the kids were very happy with their entire experience and they did stay overnight.
This place is amazing. My husband & I have stayed twice now within 4 months AND we are renting the entire house for Fourth of July. The innkeeper Donnis is phenomenal. She's so welcoming & easy to chit chat with. The house is wonderful & cozy. This place is a MUST if you're staying in town. Or, like us, you just need a night away.
We stayed here over the weekend on August 9th, 2025. This place is beautiful. Bed's are so comfortable. I loved it! Will definitely come back!!
I was traveling on business to the Hampton area and stayed at this B&B. The owners were so nice and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful and clean. I woke up in the morning refreshed and ready for the day. The morning breakfast was outstanding and I plan to stay here every time I'm in the Hampton area on business.
We where driving in a storm and looking for a place to stay. We called to see if there was open availability and there was! The rooms where amazing they have 4 bed and bathrooms also some games in the basement. The family taking care of the bed and breakfast was really nice,10/10 would come back again and with more friends and family! Thank you for having us we are grateful!
